What about Bayh?

Evan Bayh is known to be exploring the possibility of running in 2008. What may not be as well known is that as of March 31st of this year he had $7 million of available cash in his campaign fund. Hillary leads the pack with $8.7 million.
I think the jury is still out on wether or not a woman can win the presidency. I personally would have no trouble voting for a woman, but others may.
Bayh has proven he can get red state votes. He has money. The question is does he want the nomination?

I've never heard of him. Who is he?
A former two term governor of Indiana, now a second term senator. He may be too moderate to get the nomination.
Political Wire has more on a possible Bayh candidacy. Political Wire is a great blog. Check it out at www.politicalwire.com
The GOP would fear Bayh. The guy has a solid record and a picture perfect family. As governor he had what some consider the best record of all time and nearly the entire state legislature were Republicans. During his time as governor he created more jobs than any other governor in history and never once raised taxes, in fact, he slightly cut them AND created a surplus. When he was elected governor in 1988 for the first he was the first Democrat to hold the office in 20 years and he was the only statewide elected Democrat.
Here's a link to a recent speech he gave in Colorado:

He won re-election last year by a higher percentage than Bush won the state, and Indiana is about as red as it gets.
His father, by the way, was Birch Bayh. Long time Indiana Senator and former Presidential candidate.

I tried to go here, but it said it was no good.
When I clicked your "Here" link it worked fine for me.
According to Survey USA Bayh ranks tenth among senators in approval rating. Number 1? Obama.
