Rudi 2008?

Patrick Ruffini is conducting a ongoing poll about how Rudi Gulliani would stand up against more conservative candidates for the 2008 republican nomination. When pitted against Bill Frist, John McCain, or Goerge Allen, it looks like Rudi would still get the nomination. Check out the poll and comments here.

What about Condi?
Rudy has my vote - that's for sure!
He did wonders for New York!
Got you linked!
Rudy would be good. I don't know what kind of personal life baggage he carries, but if there's anything at all that could hurt his chances, it will be found out and mercilessly reported.
yeah dont care

Rudy would be a strong candidate but I don't think he's ever get through the primary process. Although he's great on law and order and national security issues, he's terrible on many issues (gun control/confiscation to name just one) near and dear to us Red State types who make up the Republican Party's base.
My vote is his!! I hope he runs.
My post from brad'sblog:
Jeb is most likely getting the grooming for his hopes for a senate race in mid term elections (2006). There's too much heat around the bush family and the war. His approval ratings were the worst for any consecutive term president and they are still dropping. The republicans will need a new image to continue to rule.
Personally i've liked arnold and rudy. Unfrotunately (or fortunately) the deciding factor in the last election was the evangelical christians who have now become the center of the party. There is no way either would make it(as they are viewed as moderates), not even mentioning the lack of US birth for arnold.
Meanwhile, McCain has been selling himself out (was a rebel at one point) for a potential run, but again, he is just that, a rebel. Bush dragged him through the mud in the 2000 primaries, I can't see him running. (also senators tend to fair poorly in presidential elections)
America is not ready for a black, female president; there is no way condi will get the nod. She doesn't have a family life, not very personable, and some find her annoying. She would make a good VP.
The only thing you can be sure of is probably condi and perhaps rudy as VP. The prez candidate will most likely be a social conservative govenor from the southern states.
Rudy would be one hell of a running mate but if he runs for President he's toast. It's going to be a slaughter. He'll get killed in the primaries for his stances on gun control and abortion.
